“Growing Minds, Building Hearts, Shaping Futures”
At Browning Elementary School, we are committed to “Growing Minds, Building Hearts, Shaping Futures.” Grounded in our mission to nurture curious, confident, and capable learners, we will consistently implement a common set of best practices—Project Read, intentional questioning, and small group instruction—across Pre-Kindergarten through Second Grade. Our goal is to strengthen reading comprehension and writing outcomes for every student. Progress will be measured using EL Assessments, the Pre-K Performance Checklist, and the parish-based writing assessment, ensuring all students leave second grade with strong skills, strong character, and a strong sense of self.
Philosophy of Browning Elementary School
At Browning Elementary School, we believe every child is capable of learning, growing, and thriving. Guided by our mission to nurture curious, confident, and capable learners, we are committed to meeting the unique academic, social, emotional, and moral needs of each student through high-quality instruction and meaningful support.
We recognize that consistent attendance, positive behavior, and a growth mindset are essential to student success. Our team—including teachers, support staff, and administrators—works together to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where students develop strong skills, strong character, and a strong sense of self.
We believe education is a shared responsibility. Open, effective communication and collaboration between families, staff, and students are vital to building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and leadership. Together, we are “Growing Minds, Building Hearts, Shaping Futures.”
